D-Ring Harness Demo and Potluck Lunch
Please bring folding chairs and your favorite Potluck lunch.
D-Ring Harness is used in the New England states and is quite different. It offers more benefits for the horse than regular harness. Come and find out why.

Halter Training An Unbroken Filly
Note: you can click on each picture to see it in a bigger format
This is an untrained filly, not broke to lead. We will be using her in this demonstration.
Keith Temple haltered the filly in the barn, then brought her to the pen for training.

Makin' a loop. Uh, oh. That's calf roper lingo, not draft horse!

Moving slowly to allow the filly to adjust to the feel of the rope.

Filly with the rope in position on the hindquarters.

Gently pull the rope and halter together.

Starting to pull on the hindquarters to get the horse moving forward.

Meeting this Saturday, December 11, 2010
From Lora McCabe....
Hello everybody!
I am late, as usual. This month's meeting will take place at my house (instead
of Jann's) at 390 Hidden Hill Rd, Mammoth Spring, AR. We will read the minutes
at that time so that everybody remembers what a great time we had last time.
There will be plenty of good food and good company. Please feel free to bring
desserts or drinks. Also, please forward this to anybody that might be
interested in our draft animals/horses/donkeys, etc.
(note: directions omitted)
Hope to see you this Saturday at 12 noon.
Lora
